US will issue 15 thousands of additional work visas H-2B
The United States will issue 15 additional thousands of H-2B seasonal work visas. This decision was made by the Minister of Homeland Security Kirsten Nielsen, said the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
H-2B visas are issued to people who come to the United States for temporary work. 15 thousands of visas will be issued in addition to the 66 thousands issued this year.
“The H-2B visa cap was originally intended to protect American workers, but when we see it hurting American businesses, we enact reforms,” Nielsen says.
Starting today, visa applicants in the H-2B category can apply for the I-129 form, a nonimmigrant application. As well as an additional application form ETA 9142-B-CAA-2 with a petition.
