Organizers of a charity evening in Brooklyn reported that they raised more than $40 thousand for the Tikva Jewish orphanage from Odessa. However, the collection of money continues - those who want to help children can transfer money to the orphanage now.
The funds raised will help Ukrainian children visit the training camp with programs in psychology and special education.
Among the guests of the event was the Chief Rabbi of Ukraine, Yakov Bleich, and four-time Olympic champion in swimming, Lenny Krayselburg, who is a native of Odessa.
