82% Israelis are proud of their country

82% of Israeli citizens are proud of their country and consider it a good place to live, and they are also optimistic about the future of the state, according to a survey by the Institute of Panels Politics, writes Maariv.

Among optimistic people, 56% is “very proud” of the country, and 26% is “sufficiently.” On the other hand, 15% are not particularly proud of being citizens of the state. Among them - 9% "not too proud," and 6% - "do not have the slightest pride."

If we touch on political views, it turns out that among the right-wing views surveyed, 93% are proud of their identity, and among the left spectrum respondents - only 59%.

81% of respondents believe that the State of Israel is a great place to live. 36% of them believe that Israel is a “very good place to live”, 46% - “quite good”. Meanwhile, 16% of respondents do not consider Israel a good place to live. Among those who consider Israel a good place, there are more middle-aged people than young people.

Despite the fact that 73% of Israelis are convinced that the state of Israel is a fait accompli, and its position is strong enough, 52% are afraid of a war that could start in the foreseeable future. 18% is generally convinced that the existence of a country is in real danger.

It is not surprising that most Israelis consider the external threat to be the biggest problem (Iran, Hezbollah, Palestinian terror) - 66%. The second major problem is that respondents consider the high cost of living and the income gap between the rich and the poor - 32%. 21% of respondents consider corruption in the public sector a serious problem.

The conflict between secular and religious citizens is considered a serious problem only 8% of respondents.

The survey was attended by 587 people, of whom - Jewish 484 and Arab 103.
