76% of Americans believe that the US needs immigrants from different countries

76% of Americans believe that their country of origin is irrelevant when deciding whether to allow a person to immigrate to the United States.

This is evidenced by data from a survey conducted Quinnipiac University, during which respondents were asked to answer the question whether they believe that people from certain countries deserve the right to immigrate to the United States more than people from other countries. Only 16% of respondents believe that the person’s home country plays a very important role.

78% of respondents believe that immigration benefits the United States, 12% are confident that people moving from other countries harm the States.

The survey was conducted after it became known that during a meeting at the White House on immigration, US President Donald Trump called Haiti, El Salvador and some African states "shithole countries”Regarding the emigrants arriving from them.

After that, the head of the US was accused of racism. The president said he did not use this expression and noted that I will be glad if immigrants come “from everywhere”.

The survey was conducted from 12 to 12 in January among 1212 respondents.
