Seven things that are better in Russia than in the USA

The standard of living in the United States is much higher than in the post-Soviet countries, but in life in these countries there are advantages, especially in terms of food and everyday life.

Living in the US, the Russians told the publication Anews about what exactly the American living conditions are inferior to the Russian.

Hygiene

American gaskets for feminine hygiene are much inferior to Russian in quality, but surpass the price. According to immigrant women, feminine hygiene products manufactured in the United States are too unpleasant when touched to the body and cause irritation, and at the same time cost several times more.

Transport

The car was an inaccessible luxury for the majority of citizens of the USSR, and now most people in Russia and some other post-Soviet countries cannot afford it, so public transport in these countries is very well developed. In the US, almost all citizens have their own car, and therefore without it, you can feel discomfort here. Taxis are unreasonably expensive, and the subway is usually too dirty or stations operate on weekends.

Chocolate

In Russia, there is a huge selection of chocolate, whose taste is noticeably superior to its American counterparts. Only organic chocolate in the United States resembles real, but it is much more expensive than the rest.

Fruits and vegetables

In the countries of the former Soviet Union, you can always find seasonal fruits and vegetables at affordable prices. Many have a variety of blanks, cooked on their own, to which the citizens of the United States are not used. Here, ordinary onions and beets cost a lot of money, even by American standards, and the fruit is kept in the refrigerator for a very long time and does not lose its appearance, but at the same time is inferior to the Russian taste.

Underwear

Women's underwear in the United States for the most part is too rough and ugly, and bras have a thick layer of foam rubber. In the USA it is very difficult to find feminine and light underwear, but for men the choice is unlimited.

Medicine

In the US, you can really get high-quality medical care, but you need to wait at the doctor’s appointment and spend not a couple of hours in the queue, but almost a month. Americans find it difficult to get to a simple therapist, and they need to wait even longer for a specialist visit. The problem is also with the purchase of drugs, most of which are sold only by prescription. In Russia and other CIS countries, pharmacies are free to purchase essential medicines, such as activated carbon, when US doctors are in the habit of treating everything with antibiotics at once.

Dairy produce

Sour cream of domestic production in Russia for the most part has a pleasant taste and contains live bacteria, while the American product is almost entirely composed of non-natural synthetic substances. Moreover, the prices for such products are too high here, and only cheese justifies its value.
