This testimony by Trump gave as part of the investigation into Schneiderman on the complaint filed by Trump 2 December 2013 of the year. Trump called donation for the Harris campaign one such case. He was allegedly asked by the Assistant Schneiderman, and Ivanka helped to agree on the details.

“Schneiderman's former transition director asked my daughter Ivanka if she could arrange for me to donate to a fundraiser Schneiderman was organizing for newly elected California Attorney General Kamala Harris,” Trump said.

“In return, I contributed $5000 to Ms. Harris’ campaign—the highest level of sponsorship specified in the invitation—and Ivanka attended the event along with several other Trump Organization executives,” Trump added.

The 2011 donation is one of several Trump has made to current Democratic presidential candidates.

Trump gave money to Senator Kirsten Gillibrand's campaign twice—$1050 in December 2007 and $2400 in September 2010. In December 2001, he also contributed $1000 to the campaign of then-Senator Joe Biden, who has the best chance of becoming his rival in the 2020 election.

The Trumps have donated to Harris' campaign three times. In addition to the $5000 in 2011, Trump donated $1000 to her on February 20, 2013, and Ivanka Trump gave her $2000 on June 3, 2014.

A spokesman for headquarters Harris reported in March that she donated 6 000 dollars, which she received from Trump, a non-profit organization that deals with the rights of Central Americans.

At the moment, it is unclear whether Harris returned or donated somewhere a contribution of 2000 dollars from Ivanka Trump.

Ivanka Trump’s testimony also confirmed Schneiderman’s involvement in raising funds for the Harris campaign.

"In September 2011, Schneiderman's former transition director contacted me again and said that Schneiderman would be 'very grateful' if I attended a fundraiser for newly elected California Attorney General Kamala D. Harris as Schneiderman's guest." - said Ivanka.
