This plan covers doctor visits, lab tests, x-rays, hospital care, prescription drug coverage and more. There is either no monthly payment at all, or it is equal to $20, depending on income.

4. Metal-Level Plans

Fidelis care offers metal plans through the NY State of Health: The Official Health Plan Marketplace, where it remains a leading insurer for the second year. You will be able to apply for a metal plan (bronze, silver, gold, platinum) during the application period, which usually begins in November each year. You can get this coverage sooner if you apply within 60 days of the qualifying event. These events include changes in marital status, number of dependents, work status, place of residence, or loss of employment insurance.

5. Medicare Advantage and Dual Advantage

Medicare Advantage, also called “Part C” insurance, is another way to get Medicare coverage.
