Four bad habits of Americans, who notice all Russians

Do you have bad habits? Is it just your habits or are all or practically all of your nationalities doing this? Well, for example, foreigners often say that Russians do not smile and consider it a bad form, a bad habit. So they say not about any particular Russian, but about the nation as a whole. It is clear that one or another harmful habit may not be typical for all members of a particular ethnic group, but the majority does just that. The son of my American friend Steven - Mark - has been living and studying in the US for the 2 of the year. On vacation comes to Russia. Since Mark's father is an American, he himself is fluent in English and attended an American school in Moscow. Nevertheless, Mark often says that when he went to the USA, he thought that he knew everything about this country. But, having lived there only a month, I realized that I did not know very much.

Recently, when talking with Mark, we are talking about bad habits. Moreover, Mark said that after living in America, he now sees these habits among Russians. Every nationality has them. But if we talk about Americans, then Mark identifies the following:

The habit of not paying attention to clothes

There are many people in the USA who look unkempt. Stretched T-shirts, leggings, slippers, pajama pants are very striking to any Russian. Americans often dress Second Hand, and their main rule is to be comfortable. The disregard for clothes and the way they look is very noticeable.

However, it must be said that almost all Americans observe one more rule. They should not stink. Here it is considered a manifestation of disrespect towards others. Therefore, dress as you want, even as homeless, just do not stink.

Do not walk

Americans do not walk. Mark says that at first he was shocked. He could not go for a walk with friends in the evening. He had to go either to the park, and he had no car. Or go to the supermarket and spend time there. In the nightclubs, Mark refused to go immediately.

In the US, many beautiful parks, there are people walking. But they do not walk in the courtyards, just on the streets. They generally prefer a sedentary lifestyle. Even young Americans.

Life on credit

Every American has loans. Even students have credit history. They take cars on credit, study on credit, buy phones on credit, are treated on credit. This is a special psychology, and everything works for this psychology. Everywhere you are offered conditions that seem very profitable. But actually it is not.

In Russia, people are offered a loan, but few agree to this. Here they are not treated and do not study on credit. If you need money, they prefer to borrow. But in the US, no one takes. Here, just take a loan. Anytime and anywhere.

Much trash

Mark tells how one day he came home to his American friend. He parked the car next to the house. There was another car parked next to the house, his mother’s car. “You have a garage, right?” Mark asked. To this his friend said that there was no space in the garage. His parents filled him with junk.

And when he went to the house of this friend, he realized that there was too much junk in it. The parents of this American did not throw anything out. Later, Mark realized that many Americans love different trash. They store it, constantly buying more and more new things. As a result, at first they flood their garages with things, then begin to litter the rooms. Although many Americans are struggling with this, they even go to psychologists. It is very difficult for many to part with old things. And others just can not stop buying.
