Strong fire in a residential building in downtown New York

A strong fire started in the evening in a residential building in central New York. According to NBC, the fire occurred in an apartment at 515 West 59th St - on the corner of 10th Avenue and 59th Street.

The fire was assigned an 3 level of difficulty. Employees of emergency services urge residents of neighboring houses not to open the windows in order not to get poisoned by acrid smoke.

According to the city fire department, 13 people were injured, including 3 firefighters.
