43 Russian fan arrested in France due to the fact that an English fan who suffered in a mass brawl, recorded brain death.

As the president of the All-Russian Association of Fans, Alexander Shprygin, said, the police detained a bus heading to Lille, where the Russian team will play against Slovakia on Wednesday.

“We were detained for a day. We are being transported to Marseilles to carry out investigative actions. The detention time starts from the moment the bus stops,” Shprygin wrote in Twitter. — The Consul General of the Russian Federation is in touch with us, they don’t abandon us, they help us with everything they can. By morning we should either be released or charged.”

According to the Russian Consulate General, the arrest of fans can be extended in the near future to 48 hours. Among other things, women and the driver of the vehicle were detained on the bus.

“We are no longer talking about getting to the game in Lille; the performance is also gone. The attitude of the police is correct so far, but transferring to Marseille is HELL! Of the 29 deportees, none violated French law or participated in the events in Marseille, either in the port or at the stadium. Lawlessness,” this is how the leader of the official association of fans from Russia, Alexander Shprygin, assessed what was happening.

Before the match Russia-England in Marseilles, as reported by ForumDailyThere were clashes between fans of both teams. As a result, about 35 people were injured, some of them were hospitalized with serious injuries.

A French court has already found two English fans guilty of disturbing public order, sentencing them to prison terms in the amount of 2 and 3 months of imprisonment.

In addition, at the end of the match, in which the 1: 1 draw was fixed, the Russian fans climbed into sectors with the British right at the stadium, continuing the showdown.

UEFA Tuesday conditionally disqualified Russian national team until the end of Euro-2016, that is, the punishment will come into force in case of recurrence of unrest with the participation of Russian fans. However, as emphasized, we are talking about violations at the stadium.

Meanwhile, already in Lille 14 June occurred another fight between Russian and English fans, after which two more Russians were detained. The fight between two small groups of fans ended after the police arrived.
