10 Top US Cities for Young Professionals

Young people, especially millennials, often earn a bad reputation because of their work ethic. But in the 2016 year, they surpassed the Generation X (aged 39 – 54 years in the 2019 year), becoming the largest generation group in the US workforce, according to the Pew Research Center.

Millennials and Generation Z currently make up more than a third of the workforce. This number will increase to 58% in the next decade, when young generations will dominate the working class. And they come to cities with an abundance of jobs and high salaries.

But which city will give beginners a better chance of success?

To Find 10 Best Cities for Young Professionals, Edition Gobankingrates checked the 100 of the most populous cities in the United States and analyzed each city based on the average annual rent for a one-bedroom apartment, as well as the percentage of the population aged 20 to 34 years.

10. Boise idaho
