10-year-old millionaire: Little boy's amateur videos made Hawaiian family rich

Ryan Kaji was only three years old when his parents launched their YouTube channel. This was in 2015. Then his parents put Ryan on their cell phone to keep their parents updated on their family adventures. Ryan is now a 10-year-old millionaire living in Honolulu, reports khon.

“We had no idea Ryan's videos would become so popular and we've been making funny videos ever since! said Shion Kaji, Ryan's father. “It’s so much fun to make videos as a family.”

Ryan has twin sisters Emma and Kate with whom he loves to play. They have already appeared in his YouTube videos that have demographics of children and parents.

When Ryan's family first started making videos, their YouTube channel was called "Ryan ToysReview". Ryan opened the boxes and examined the toys. The video quickly went viral, and within a few months, the number of subscribers continued to grow. The Kaji soon quit their day jobs.

“With the success of the channel, we both decided to devote ourselves full time to Ryan's World to develop the channel and brand even more! said Loann Kaji, Ryan's mom. “I think my teaching skills were ideal for the channel to create educational and scientific content for children.”

Loanne used to be a high school chemistry teacher and Shion was a civil engineer. They think that Ryan's channel is so popular because of his positive attitude and he makes kids feel welcome, like they're actually playing with him. Ryan refers to his fans as friends.

“Back in the days when YouTube was fresh and new, we didn’t have the technology and camera equipment that we have today,” Shion said. “We think our authenticity is what has led to us having such loyal fans and we are so lucky that our amazing viewers enjoy our content for what it is and how we grow as a family.” thanks to the new adventures we share with them!”

Today, Ryan's World has over 32 million subscribers and 10 YouTube channels. The videos, which average over a million views, offer a variety of content, including science experiments, parodies, family tasks, cartoons, and more.

“We spend a lot less time shooting videos,” Shion says. “We have a production studio, Sunlight Entertainment, which allows us to streamline the workflow around Ryan's World and keep Ryan on camera to a minimum.”

Videos posted by Ryan that use animated characters such as Gus Gummy Alligator and Combo Panda do not require him to appear. This allows the family to create more stories that continue to reach the children and their families.

“Even as Ryan gets older, the universe created by Sunlight Entertainment will continue to provide our audience with the same content they love! - Shion said. — Now Ryan likes to study space, science and programming. He also likes to play video games and I like to play with him too.”

Although Ryan has many interests, Ryan's father shared that his child thought about becoming a comedian when he grew up. From the way things are going, he definitely has time to make a decision. Ryan tops the list of the highest paid YouTube stars, in addition, he earns income from his line of consumer products and the show Ryan's Mystery Playdate. Earnings go to Ryan, children's college and savings funds.

And when they are not filming, the family loves to spend time together. On a typical day, they go hiking or play on the beach. They moved to Hawaii last year to be in a place that allows them to move and exercise a lot, as well as be able to explore new places.

“Always stay true to who you are and put your family first! This has been our family mantra throughout our YouTube journey. The most important thing is to make sure you have fun,” says Ryan’s dad.
