Florida's 10 cities where it's cheaper for retirees to buy a house than to rent

On a national scale, as a rule, buying a home is financially justified compared to renting it, if retirees want to leave an inheritance. But if they do not plan to transfer the house to their heirs, it is almost always cheaper to rent, says the site Trulia.

Of the 100 cities with the largest number of retirees, rent was beneficial in 98 cities.

Retired people who want to inherit property, the most suitable state of Florida. In it, at least, there are 10 cities, where it is cheaper to buy a house than to rent it.

For example, buying a house in Naples is almost 70% cheaper than renting, or buying a house in Marco Island is 62% less than renting.

"The financial benefits of owning property in the South are great because prices tend to be significantly lower compared to rents," said Ralph McLaughlin, chief economist at Trulia.

Here are ten cities where it is cheaper for retirees to buy a house than to rent it:

1. The Village, Florida: On 71,6% cheaper to buy.

2. Naples, Florida: On 69,4% cheaper to buy.

3. Venice, Florida: On 66,5% cheaper to buy.

4. Delray Beach, Florida: On 64,1% cheaper to buy.

5. Deerfield Beach, Florida: On 62,9% cheaper to buy.

6. Marco Island, Florida: On 61,8% cheaper to buy.

7. Pompano Beach, Florida: On 61,0% cheaper to buy.

8. Englewood, Florida: On 61,0% cheaper to buy.

9. Titusville, Florida: On 60,8% cheaper to buy.

10. Hallandale Beach, Florida: On 60,4% cheaper to buy.
