In the US, the car inspection asked the driver of the Tesla electric car to pass the XYECLA number because of its “vulgarity”. Facebook owner Vladimir Yakunin wrote about this in his Facebook (not to be confused with the former head of Russian Railways).

The official letter from the local traffic police, which was published by Yakunin, says that the XYE symbols on the license plate can "sound like the slang designation of the male genitalia in Russian," writes Rtvi.
The traffic police said that they are trying to prevent the issuance of rooms that may be considered "bad taste." But sometimes mistakes happen, they explained in the department, and a sign that “certain representatives of society” may find inappropriate is still issued.

As a result, they asked from Yakunin to return the sign back before February 12 or try to challenge the decision.
In the comments to the post Yakunin said that he chose the number and pays for it $ 50 per year.
