A stolen bicycle was stolen from a 80-year-old Florida resident, and the police bought him a new one. VIDEO
Police officers from the city of Cape Coral (Florida) presented a new bike to the local 80-year-old resident, Robert, to replace the stolen one, reports Fox News. One of the policemen recorded the time when the bike was handed over to the recorder.
Robert told me that his bike was stolen while he was at the supermarket. According to Fox News, policemen Ken Cody and Guan Song did not want him to "be sad in their 80 years" because of the loss of the only way to travel, writes Tjournal.
They went to Walmart and bought him a replacement. The new bike has a basket and a cup holder.
After the delivery, Robert asked if he had been given a new bike, and also asked the police for help with seat adjustment.
In addition to the bike itself, they gave the elderly man a lock for him.
The police also promised to try to find the stolen bike.
Robert took it with understanding: "I know that it takes time for such things."
