A man from Colorado killed his mother's bat to death

A resident of Colorado, who had killed his girlfriend and mother of his child with a bat, three times tried to convince his new girlfriend to kill her, but after this did not work, he decided to take the situation into his own hands.

Patrick Freysey will face trial for the murder of his bride Kelsey Berret. Her body has not been found since she disappeared on Thanksgiving near Woodland Park, writes CNN.

The couple’s one-year-old daughter, Kaylee, is under the care of Berret’s parents.

Crystal Lee Kenny told investigators that in 2018, she had a romantic relationship with Frezy, and he allegedly asked her to kill Berret three times. Kenny said she did not participate in Berrett’s murder, but the suspect ordered her to remove the victim’s house after the attack.

Kenny provided all of this information during the November 22 interrogation; on February 8, the woman pleaded guilty to attempting to hide evidence of a crime.

Investigators uncovered new horrific details of the murder and what steps the couple had taken to conceal this crime.

The close relationship between Frazie and Kenny began at the beginning of 2018. The man came up with a plan to kill Berret, who he accused of cruelty to their child, as well as drug use.

His first plan, which he wanted to implement in September of 2018, was to have Kenny poison the caramel macchiato and give it to Berret, but according to Kenny, she could not bring herself to do it.

Kenny bought a drink and took it to Berret's townhouse. When the victim opened the door, Kenny introduced herself as a fake name and lied to her that she had recently moved to the area and wanted to treat her neighbors and meet them. Kenny gave the drink to the victim, but did not add poison there.

The second and third assassination attempts occurred next month. In the first case, Kenny had to attack the victim with a metal pipe in the parking lot near her house. She really was waiting for Berret in the parking lot, but in the end could not bring herself to pounce on her. The third plan was to beat the baseball bat, and Kenny again refused to do so.

Then Frazie took matters into his own hands and killed Berrett with a baseball bat at her house on Thanksgiving Day.

The investigation suggests that the suspect killed Berrett by winding a sweater over her head and beating him with a bat. He later burned her body.

After the murder, the man asked Kenny to clean up the blood in the victim's house, and she took the job very responsibly - the woman brought with her a box of latex gloves, a white suit, shoe covers, bleach, two garbage bags and a hairnet. Frazee even asked her to look for the victim's lost tooth.

The woman spent several hours on cleaning, throwing out bloodied toys and other items. However, during a search of the victim’s apartment in December 2018, investigators found blood in the toilet, on the outside of the bath, on the bottom of the garbage can, on the walls, on the floor, on the towel rail, on the dressing table and on the electrical outlet. The found blood corresponded to the DNA profile created from samples taken from members of the Berret family.

Frezi was arrested for murder in December, the court did not grant him the right to exit on bail.

On Tuesday, prosecutors brought new charges against him, including forging evidence. After the murder, the man put the body in a black bag and hid it in a haystack on a farm in Fremont County, while he went to dinner in honor of Thanksgiving. Later, the suspect moved the body and burned it. The police did not establish exactly what he did with the remains, it is assumed that he threw them in a landfill or in the river.

Parents Berret filed a lawsuit against Frezi, they believe that the motive of his actions was a dispute over custody of the couple's daughter. They said that the suspect wanted full custody of the girl, but Berrett did not agree.
