Citizens of seven countries stopped to let in the USA

Residents of 7 countries with a predominantly Muslim population, which US President Donald Trump ordered to suspend the issuance of visas, faced refusals when buying tickets in the US and during the flight, reports the agency with reference to representatives of a number of airlines.

According to France-Press Agency, citing comments from travel agencies, a number of airlines refused to transport Iranian citizens to the United States.

According to the agency, the airlines Etihad Airways, Emirates and Turkish Airlines asked travel agencies not to sell tickets to the United States to the Iranians, and to prohibit landing on flights flying to the US even to Iranian citizens who have a US visa.

Qatar Airways has advised its passengers from the 7 countries mentioned in Trump's order that they should refuse to fly to the US unless they have a US green card or diplomatic visa. These countries are Iraq, Iran, Yemen, Libya, Syria, Somalia and Sudan.

Reuters, citing sources at the airport in Cairo, reported that EgyptAir did not allow the 5 of Iraqi citizens and 1 of Yemen to board the plane flying to New York on Saturday. According to the source, the failure in flight is associated with the decree of trump.

Earlier it became known that Donald Trump stopped for an indefinite period the admission of Syrian refugees to the country, and also froze the program for receiving refugees from other countries for 120 days.

Trump said that such a measure is necessary in order to prevent the arrival of the Islamists in the United States, including under the guise of refugees. Opponents of this measure indicated that the immigration services were conducting all the necessary checks to prevent extremists from entering the country.

The main provisions of the decree:

• Admission of refugees from other countries is suspended for 120 days.
• Completely for an indefinite period of time, the program for the reception of refugees from Syria stops.
• The 90 is a one-day entry ban on anyone who comes from one of the 7 countries with a predominantly Muslim population: Iraq, Syria, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Yemen.
• The ban on entry into the country applies to those citizens of Syria and 6 from other countries who already have a green card and who are outside the United States.
• Instead of 110 thousands of refugees, which, according to the limits set by the Obama administration, the United States should have been accepted in 2017, a new limit is set in 50 thousands of refugees.
• The United States will introduce a mandatory interview for visas to enter the country. Exceptions to this rule can be made individually.
• Priority right to enter the United States will be given to religious minorities from other countries. Trump especially singled out Christians from Syria.

On Thursday, Iranian actress Taraneh Alidoosti, whose film was nominated for an Oscar, said she would not attend the film awards ceremony to protest Donald Trump's plans to ban American visas to residents of several Muslim-majority countries.

The actress said that she considers such a ban racist. Iranian director Asghar Farhadi's film The Salesman, in which Taraneh Alidoosti played the title role, was shortlisted for an Oscar nomination in the Best Foreign Language Film category.

Google asks its employees to return to the US

The company fears that they may not have time to return before the decree restricting the entry of immigrants into the United States, which was recently signed by President Donald Trump, comes into force.
